As of end of March, 2004, a planar prototype has been built and tested
with sources, cosmic rays and proton beams. A curved prototype has been
built and is being tested. A complete set of
ALTRO chips has been ordered.
Future plans:
April-May 2004: Test of curved prototype with proton beam
(TUNL). Build second curved prototype.
Summer 2004: Receive ALICE readout electronics, begin
testing
Summer-Fall 2004: Built complete DAQ system and gas
handling system for curved prototype.
Spring 2005: Engineering run with curved prototype in
CLAS, in conjunction with DVCS experiment.
Fall 2005: Completion of full RTPC detector, ready to
begin BoNuS experiment.
