Analysis

BigBite Momentum resolution (for NIM paper)

Am am reanalyzing elastic data (1GeV, 2GeV, 3GeV) to get new plots of the BigBite momentum resolution.

My old plot:

01.)

My new plot:

I have made some modification to the code. To create new plots I considered cuts on vector q instead of cut on BigBite momentum p. Beside plots of the momentum resolution (\sigma/p), I added plots of the systematic errors, which show, what is the absolute deviation from the true value of the momentum. Still need to add analytical model results.

02.)

Scaler analysis:

I have analyzed all 2GeV data (approx 1000 runs).

03.)

Coda Helicity Asymmetry:

Coda Helicity asymmetry calculated with my BCM and LT script. This serves as an additional check that my scripts work properly.

04.) 05.)

BCM analysis:

To calculate mean value of the beam charge ratio I considered monitors u3, d10 and u10. Monitor d3 was not considered, since it is always off. The HWP-flip was considered in the ratio calculation via function "pow(ratio, HWP)"

06.) 07.)

Dead Time analysis:

T8 asymmetry also server to check if there is no asymmetry in spin-sign flipping. This asymmetry should always be zero. HWP position was also considered.

08.) 09.)

Raw T3 and T5 asymmetries calculated using scalers and coda events (without any cuts)

10.) 11.)

Live-time ratio calculation. Ideally this ratio should be 1.

12.) 13.)

False asymmetry analysis (unpolarized data):

Using unpolarized calibration data (110 runs: Empty, N2, 2H, 1H, 12C) First I tried to determine raw T5 asymmetry using only general cuts ( stated in the *.cdef file). Later I tried to determine mean asymmetry after all cuts except PID were applied (Full Cut). Both asymmetries should be zero. Any false asymmetries should be visible here?!

14.) 15.) 16.)
