E05-102 Analysis

Scaler problem

Last week I introduced the solution for my problem with the strange behaviour of the HRSL BCM scalers. My explanation for that was, that we must had had a problem with one of the two gated scaler modules from the pair ( (++) or (+-)). To verify this, I made the same analysis (Halog analysis) using HRS-R BCM data. From those results we were able to see, that HRS-R scalers did not detect any jump in the charge ratio, which suggests that my strange results from two weeks were most likely wrong due to the bad scaler module.

To verify this hypothesis, I re-did my (using data not Halog) scaler analysis using BB scalers instead of HRSL scaler. Because of the problem with gated "evbbite" scaler modules (one is missing), I had to consider "bbite" scalers. Results show, that BB scalers like HRS-R do not see any jump in the BCM ratio. This analysis was done for only small portion of the events. I will complete my analysis next week in Ljubljana.

Results for "left" scalers (event type 140):

Results for "evbbite" scalers:

Because one of the gated modules is missing in the data-stream, we can not use this scalers to test our theory. Because one scaler module is missing T8 asymmetry is identical to one.
