Tracking meeting notes 15-apr-2004

Allena's Status Report 29-apr-2004

Warning: Our first quartly reports are due to Greg Smith by 1-jul-04.

I've checked out the mid-apr euclid file and propose the following standardization:

* Version number refer to the version of the acceptance defining collimator.

This would mean that we are on version 2 where the 2 refers to the design of the acceptance defining collimator which was developed by Neven and Jim in summer 2003, and approved at the Oct 2003 collaboration meeting at MIT. This collimator is made from Pb and defines a theta acceptance of 8 +/- 2 degrees and a phi acceptance of +/- 11 degrees in each octant. This collimator gives an ep-elastic event rate of 650 MHz/octant with 180 uA of beam on our 35 cm long LH2 target, and a Q^2 of 0.028 (GeV/c)^2 with an incident beam energy of 1.16 GeV. It also has an air gap in the the upstream part since additional Pb was not required; the GEMs will be put into this space.

* Focal Plane Detectors --
FPnn, nn = 01 through 08 represent the Cerenkov detectors, with n = 1 at the 12 o'clock position.
FPmm, mm = 09 through 16 are for other surfaces.

Version 2.2 of the Qweak euclid file differs from the cvs version of ~ 13-apr-2004 in the following ways:

Note also that this version has the GEM detector defined and positioned. For simulations without the calibration system the lines positioning the GEM should be commented out.

PLEASE look through this version of the euclid file and if you see any problems, let me know by Monday 3-may-2004 and I'll correct them. After that I'll ask Tony to check this version into CVS.
