Follow the steps in this checklist for switching to and from
spectrometer DAQ during HAPPEX. Neglecting
some of these steps or doing them in the wrong order could result in
damage to Hall A equipment.
HAPPEX -> spectrometer DAQ
- Make sure spectrometer DAQ works (might need reboots)
- Cerenkov HV set
- Electron arm 1700, 1800 (elastic, spare)
- Hadron arm 1950, 1800 (elastic, spare)
Reminder of cabling
- Electron arm on hac5 10.10 = elastic, 10.11 = spare
- Hadron arm on hac13 13.10 = elastic, 13.11 = spare
- Switch HAPPEX to spectrometer DAQ
- 2 uA on target (raster on and check the spot size)
- Target in (ONLY AFTER verifying spot size)
- Download the correct trigger (Go to adaqh2, adaq account,
type "trig_parity", answer the obvious questions).
- Scintillator HV on -- check rates in xscaler, ~19 kHz each arm
- VDC HV on
- Take CODA run
Spectrometer -> HAPPEX DAQ
- VDC off
- Disable scintillator HV
- Switch spectrometer DAQ -> HAPPEX DAQ
- Restore Cerenkov HV for HAPPEX
- Spot check BEFORE putting LH2 target in at high current.
