General Policy: Each subsystem group will be in charge of controlling their own equipment and for providing a user interface to be used during the running of the experiment. A contact person from each subsystem group will coordinate this activity with the rest of the collaboration. Overall integration will be handled by a slow controls coordinator. Archival data from each subsystem will be provided online to a central EPICS system which will perform the following functions:

• generation of online plots for system quality monitoring by shift personel
• permanent storage of archival data in a database and/or in the CODA datastream
• actual control of selected subsystem functions

Important changes in the experimental configuration could be recorded in a "electronic log book" which is folded into the data stream. A simple html interface could accomplish this function.
