Experiment Guidelines


After periods without beam start with a short run on Carbon target and verify that the Fast Raster is set correct.
The maximum current and raster requirements can be found in the . MCC has a copy of that list.

Trigger:
HMS: standard 

SOS: special 
Prescale factors: 
NEVER prescale coincidences
adjust prescale factors such that the total singles rate (HMS+SOS) is approx . 10% of the coincidence rate
Analysis:
  • Start of Run: Analyze 10K events and check detector performance
  • End of Run: do Charge Replay and note BCM2 on run sheet
