Time needed: about 12 days (with 29o) or about 9 days (without 29o but we can add time at 27o instead)
Taking into account parallel running of Left and Right arms:
- 228 hours (9.5days) of main data taking
- 4 hours of optics on carbon foils (30 min. per kin)
- 15 hours on Al empty cell (20% of 3He running time)
- 2 hours for beam energy measurement
- 2 hours for 2 BCM calibrations
- 8 hours: target swap 3He --> 2H + 4He
- 8 hours: 8*5 (1st part) + 6 (2nd part) = 46 target motions assuming 10 min. each
- 14 hours kinematic changes (momentum and angle) assuming 1 hour each (7 hours per part)
281 hours (about 12 days total beam time) = 228 hours (data taking) + 33 hours (bkg+calib) + 30 hours (configuration change)
Expected results
---> Major differences with CC version: 4%RL for calcium targets, added 4He, and optimized time using:
NA = N3 at about x=2.25 for kinematics with xmax=3.0
NA = N3 at about x=1.5 for kinematics with xmax=2.0
N2 = N3 at about x=1.5 to determine 2H running time
with NA= number of physics events for nucleus A.
note: 3He is always the reference time.
