- Are dedicated runs required? Assumes we get coil pulsing data at the beginning of each run.
- Will energy modulation be available? Do we need dedicated energy modulation runs?

- What electronics checkout is required (DNL for instance)?
- How often must BCM calibrations be performed?
- How do we assign a systematic uncertainty on asymmetry due to deadtime?
Plans
- Yield vs. beam current for several target materials (C, Al, H₂)
- Wells charge plots (dY/Y vs. dI/I) for multiple beam currents and dI/I settings
  - Requires functional and commissioned charge and position feedback systems.
  - Requires ability to set large dI/I without inducing large dP/P.

Questions
- Is there a way to generate large dP without inducing large dI/I?
- Can we get transverse polarization without adversely impacting the program in other halls?
- How well do we need to know the magnitude of the transverse beam polarization? How can we measure it?
Plans
- Transverse Beam Polarization
  - Polarization transverse in and out of bend plane.
  - Insertable halfwave plate in and out for each transverse polarization setting.
  - Measure A to 1 ppm in one ring in approximately 1 day?
  - Requires transverse beam polarization in hall.
  - Requires independent measure of transverse polarization.
- Wells Position Plots
  - dY/Y vs. dP
  - Multiple beam currents
  - Multiple dP settings
  - Requires working and commissioned charge and position feedback systems.
  - Requires ability to generate large dP without inducing large dI/I.
- Feedback Systematics
  - Measure detector asymmetry with and without charge feedback.
  - Measure detector asymmetry with and without position feedback.
- YO! Systematics
  - Measure helicity correlation in three YO! signals with TDC.
  - Measure detector asymmetries with three YO! signals.
  - Requires three open VME TDC channels.
- DNL Systematics
  - Measure detector asymmetry with and without large induced DNL in time-encoding electronics?
- Detector 14/15 Systematics
  - Cross check one or both detectors with NA and FR electronics.

Purpose

Verify that residual deadtime is not a target density effect.
Questions
- Does this data already exist from previous engineering run?
- Are more boiling tests required on new target cell?
Plans
- Detector yield and asymmetry vs. I on H₂ with multiple fan speeds and raster sizes.
- Detector yield and asymmetry vs. I on ¹²C and flyswatter.
