1.) Chamber:
A series of
CAD drawings has been done representing the final design of the
GEM foils for the region 1 tracking system. The design is
based upon the conclusions made in a
previous report.
The report concluded that a
trapazoidal shape 23 cm high and 11 cm wide
would cover the elasticly scattered elecron envelope.
NOTE: I added 1cm in height to the CAD drawings for good measure.
2.)Readout electronics
Beam test of VFAT board at CERN was successfull. I am planning a
trip in January to CERN in order to be trained on the
readout system and establish the infrastructure for a
purchase.
