1.) Readout:
Helix board has been wire bonded to pitch adapter.
PC board connecting power, readoutlines, and LVDS clock to Helix
readout card is in second design stage. Another round of design
needed to reduce 40 MHz crosstalk from clock.
2.) Detector
Reading 5 channels from GEM detector using CODA and slow ADC
(Lecroy 1182). Each channel represents 16 lines which are not
being amplified by the helix chip. Uncollimated cosmic rays were
used as the ionization source.
Charge collectors and GEM preamplifiers have been deliverd for
the final 10 cm x 10 cm detector design adopted at the last
collaboration meeting. The more readily available materials like
G-10 bolts and screws are being procurred for assembly this
summer to meet the PMP date of Sept. 2005.
4.) Detector rotator apparatus
A
preliminary design
is being hashed out to meet the PMP goal of a design by March 2005.
