Survey:
The charge collector will have survey targets (copper traces) located on the back. The image below shows three of them at the top of the image.
The complete layout of the targets may be seen in the pdf file.
Our goal will be to complete detector construction by July and prepare for beam tests in August.
2.)Readout electronics
I spoke again with Walter Snoey reguarding a delivery date for the VFAT boards. He said that several 100 VFAT chips have been made. Several out of 100 chips do not pass their quality tests. They have mounted the chips chips which did pass onto several (more than 10 less than 100 ) boards. Although they are having problems with yield, he feels I should be able to get up to 6 boards for beam tests in August.
3.) rotator
Collimator arrives in summer 08. Should we look into how the rotator can be mounted to the collimator?
