1.) Readout:
Configuring I/O card to initialize Helix board registers to
default values.
2.) Detector
Completed installation new 2-D charge collector into 1st
prototype detector.
Will install GEM foils and cathode today and test detector
next week.
3.) Detector rotator apparatus
The
Model 80111 Omnidirectional Lever
has arrived and is being installed. Software has been
established to increment a counter whenever switch is
depressed so the number of teeth can be counted =>(0.1 mrad
angle positioning accuracy).
We are now searching for an enclosure for the power supply
and controllers. The majority of the detector positioning
infrastructure should be completed by August. A control
GUI to work through EPICs and more encoding elements will
still need to be worked on.
A
manual
for the installation and operation of the Rotator has
been started. It details the components of the system for
installation at JLAB and the operation of the control
system software.
