1.) Gas Handling System: Completed
2.) GEM Power supply: Current Monitor circuit still in design stage. Need to confirm that power supply trip works as advertised.
3.) Readout: PC board made to house chip connectors which supply power to the Helix chip and provide access to control lines (trigger, clock, readout...). PC board being designed to connect to GEM detector readout pads. The Helix chip input pads will be wire bonded to this PC board.
4.) Detector Design: A professional services contract has is being generated to have the Charge collector laser machined. Our first step in this process will be to use copper cladded PC board then move on to using copper cladded kapton.
5.) Test Apparatus We have added thin scintillator paddles to our test apparatus. These strips would provide us with a trigger as well as a rough (1 cm^2) location of the cosmic ray within the GEM detector. PMT bases for the Quartz detector PMTs should be finished by September.
