status of Forward Tracker 9/13/2007

1.) Chamber:
The milling machine used to machine Ertalyte for the ionization chambers was broken just before August. I have been promised that I will be able to use it by October 1.
The Tech-Etch foils have arrived and need to be HV tested.
The readout board design was sent to CERN. There is a software problem in reading of Gerber Files which needs to be solved. The connector from the readout board to the VFAT card have been order by CERN. CERN will also send me several spare connectors which I intend to use with a pitch adapter to readout out the old prototypes.

Parts which remaing to be acquired: Charge collector, Output connectors, G10 nuts & bolts.

2.)Readout electronics
Progress continues on the VFAT card readout. Development of a Web interface to monitor and control VFAT settings has begun. Specifications for a breakout box have been completed and some connectors have arrived but the actual PC board is still being designed.
