tasks:
A1/g2 analysis

  •    Xiaochao introduced the new cuts, suggested by Nilanga, need to be applied on the analysis:
  • abs(det_x)<1 m , abs(det_y)<0.6m
  • For A1's data,  Xiaochao showed the run time difference extracted from the scaler clock   and  the detector event( (Fastbus ADC clock), which confirmed what was also found by Xiaofeng from g2's data.  We need more efforts to understand those time information in our data.
  • Xiaochao continued the study of  cut dependence on the Asymmetry.
  • Xiaofeng  continued the false asymmetry study on g2:
  • Due the wrong settting on the scaler trigger,  run2496-2562 needs to be reanalyzed starting  from the first scaler event. The result is shown( the top is without correction, the bottom is after correction):
  • cut study of the false asymmetry data. (no_cut, gemmetry_cut, gemmetry_pid_cut )

Water signal calibration. Try to get good signal :

    1.  replace the aluminum shims with the plastic shims.
    2.  remove the oven in-take and out-take pipes, since they seemed to affect the signal.
3   conduct water signal tests by changing the vertical position of the water cell in the pick-up coils. Will continue to do tests by changing the horizontal position and the position of the pick-up coils.
    Started the longitudinal optical alignment.

Checked the optical fibers with the coherent laser,  with the spare fiber being the best.

Received another coherent laser today, with  an optical fiber inside.
