The VIII International Conference on Hypernuclear and Strange Particle Physics (HYP2003) will be held at Jefferson Lab from October 14 - 18, 2003. The Conference will cover the most recent developments in hypernuclear and strange particle physics.

This is the 8th of a series of conferences that started 21 years ago in Heidelberg (1982) and was followed by meetings at Brookhaven (1985), Padova (1988), Shimoda (1991), Vancouver (1994), Brookhaven (1997) and Torino (2000).

The Conference will begin on Tuesday, October 14, 2003, with the Opening Session in the morning and conclude on Saturday, October 18, 2003, after the Summary Session in the afternoon. Presentations will be organized in plenary sessions, parallel sessions and a poster session. Participants interested in presenting a contributed paper in a parallel session should submit an abstract through the web site. Please note that submission deadlines have been extended as listed below.
