Determine the need for an upgrade of the low-level RF System in the context of high gradient operation of the super conducting cavities (12 GeV Upgrade, FEL, etc.). Establish an agreed set of functional requirements for the low-level RF system, determining the extent to which the present modules are inadequate to meet the present and future needs of CEBAF and the FEL, and define the timetable for improved performance needs.

Objectives

1. Generate complete functional requirements for the RF System.
2. Produce a document describing the functional requirements of the RF System.
3. Produce a supplementary document justifying the need for a new design and the project completion milestones.
