Next Meeting
- Date: 4 Jan 98 (Monday!)
- Time: 1500-1600
- Place: FEL Facility Break Room
Agenda for Next Meeting
Group activity to coordinate tasks for January wafer change-out.

G. Biallas, C. Bohn, J. Fugitt, J. Gubeli, K. Jordan, G. Neil, T.
Siggins
Discussion
The meeting documented here was impromptu and concerned the formulation
of a draft schedule for changing out the GaAs wafer during the January
shutdown. It has been followed with off-line, informal discussions.
Biallas is going to produce a "final" version of the schedule by
tomorrow (24 Dec 98), and Bohn will post a copy in a prominent location
outside the Mens' Room in the FEL Facility. The schedule driver is the
rebuild of the cesiator, for which the time involved is a little
uncertain. The Polarized Source Group is completely booked and cannot
assist during this cycle. Resumption of electron-beam operations is
projected to be 25 Jan 99.
Bohn will be away during 6-9 Jan 99, so the next meeting is scheduled
for Monday, 4 Jan 99, as indicated above.
Closed Action Items
New Action Items
- Biallas: Produce final version of wafer change-out schedule. (due 24
Dec 98)
- Bohn: Post final version of wafer change-out schedule in the FEL
Facility. (due 24 Dec 98)
Old Action Items
- Siggins/Biallas: Specify design of experiment to measure cathode
temperature. Status: No progress. (due 17 Dec 98)
- Dylla: Ascertain feasibility of low-cost "load lock" for
cathode-processing experiments in the ARC. Status: No progress. (due
10 Dec 98)
- Dylla: Work with contacts in academia to identify graduate-student
candidates for ARC experiments on electrode materials and geometries.
Status: No progress. (due 10 Dec 98)
- Fugitt: Follow through with Ling-Ling on having her develop a
strawman table of HV experiments on candidate electrode materials.
Status: Discussions are continuing. (due 10 Dec 98)
- Fugitt: With Siggins and Phillips, begin filling out "wafer history
charts", starting with the most recent wafers. Status: No known
progress since last meeting. (due 17 Dec 98)
- Siggins: Begin scanning gun data and, with D. Gilchrist's help,
compiling information into an electronic logbook. Status: No known
progress since last meeting. (due 17 Dec 98)
