Addenda/Errata to Previous Minutes

Court reminded the group that although B. Yunn had a solution for the first light case for the long gun, there might be problems with the long gun 135 pC case. We will try to cover this next week with Byung.
Pictures of the anode and ball of the gun can be seen on the WWW at www.cebaf.gov/~legg/gun_disassembly. The blemishes show up as "frosted" areas on the mirror surfaces.
Items of Discussion

We discussed how the remainder of the experimental time on the ITS should be spent. There was some discussion about trying to determine the maximum operating voltage of the gun, but it was also clear from previous runs that at the higher field gradients the cathode life will probably be degraded. It was left to be decided after the field emission measurements were made as to how we would proceed experimentally. It is generally agreed that the first experiments must be the ones necessary to verfiy the gun performance for the IRFEL.
We also discussed the Task teamlet concept and some of the "teamlets". George said he'd already started talking to potential visitor PI's. Dave Douglas said I should reconsider how much time the PI's spend in the control room; he suggested that we use PI's no more than 20-40% in the control room.
