The Beam Dump EXperiment (BDX) is a dark matter search which will be constructed at Jefferson Lab constructing a new experimental hall behind the Hall A beam dump. It will parasitically make use of the flux through the Hall A beam dump and run in parallel with the Moller experiment.

Present Experiments

The Beam Dump EXperiment Proposal as approved by PAC is available here. In addition the experimental logbook may be found here. The experiment is presently in a testing stage with an experimental platform covered by a tent behind Hall A. Pilot holes have been drilled into the earth at sufficient depth as to allow lower a miniaturized detector apparatus to the level of the plane of the Hall A beam dump for preliminary experimental testing.
