Banquet
The DNP'07 banquet will be held Friday evening in the Newport News Marriott at City Center. Tickets are $55/person and should be purchased in advance. If you have already registered, and wish to purchase a ticket, please contact Stephanie Schatzel at schatzel@jlab.org or (757) 269-7409.
Prior to the banquet, a cash bar reception will be open to all attendees, following the Town Meeting.
The banquet speaker will be Anna Gibson Holloway, Chief Curator at The Mariners' Museum in Newport News. The title of her talk will be "Ironclad Revolution - The History, Discovery and Recovery of the USS Monitor."
The USS Monitor Center, a 63,500-square-foot exhibition and conservation complex, is home to all artifacts recovered from the wreck site of this celebrated Civil War ironclad ship. The Center is part of The Mariners' Museum, which was designated by Congress as America's National Maritime Museum in 1998.
