CEU13 Student Program
A tradition begun at the DNP Fall Meeting in Santa Fe in 1998 is the Conference Experience for Undergraduates (CEU) program, which consists of a set of activities for undergraduate students organized by Warren Rogers (Westmont College). A primary goal of the CEU program is to provide an educational conference experience for undergraduate students, who have conducted research in nuclear physics, by offering them an opportunity to present their research to the larger professional community and to one another in a focused poster session. All Conference attendees are encouraged to find time to visit the undergraduate poster session that will be held on Thursday afternoon at 14:00 in Grand Ballroom II. as well as to hear special lectures.

The initial gathering of CEU students will be Thursday morning at 10:30 in Grand Ballroom II. Plans for the week will be reviewed. That will be followed by an opportunity to place posters on the poster boards in Grand Ballroom II. The poster session will run 14:00-15:45. CEU students are invited to join the JLab tour on Thursday afternoon. A CEU student social and reception is scheduled for Thursday evening at 20:00 in Grand Ballroom II. Other CEU activities, in addition to the poster session, will include special lectures by outstanding faculty and laboratory scientists on Thursday afternoon at 16:00 following the poster session and Friday morning at 10:30. Additionally, the CEU program enables participating students to talk to faculty and senior scientists from graduate institutions about graduate school opportunities during the traditional graduate school information session on Friday from 12:30-14:00.

All CEU 2013 functions will take place in Grand Ballroom II. Please check at the conference for updates regarding starting times. The CEU program is supported by the National Science Foundation, by the Department of Energy (through the national labs), and by the Division of Nuclear Physics.
