Software R&D will play a key role in the design of the Electron Ion Collider (EIC). In the EIC software meetings, we will focus on the software for the detector and physics simulations. We will discuss the: 

• Monte Carlo generators for the EIC physics program
• tools for detector simulations
• tracking software
• tools for detector development  (e.g. test beam analysis)

 

The goal of the EIC software meetings is to review the software status and to identify interfaces between the BNL and JLab software (e.g. for detector geometry descriptions).
