γZ box(ing): Radiative corrections to parity-violating electron scattering
December 16-17, 2013
Thomas Jefferson National Accelerator Facility
Newport News, VA

Circular

With the completion of the analysis of data from the Qweak experiment in Jefferson Lab Hall C anticipated in 2014, it is vital that the radiative corrections to parity-violating electron scattering (PVES) be understood to sufficient precision to enable an unambiguous extraction of the weak mixing angle.  Several estimates of the γZ corrections to PVES have been made in the literature, with an ongoing discussion about the theoretical uncertainties.  The purpose of this workshop will be to review the existing calculations and discuss ways of reducing the uncertainties.  Corrections relevant for other processes, such as parity-violating deep-inelastic scattering and Moller scattering, will also be discussed.
