After successful engineering runs at 1 GeV and 2.3 GeV in 2015 and 2016, the Heavy Photon Search (HPS) collaboration is making steady progress in perfecting data reconstruction, checking simulation, and advancing analysis. The performance of its main detector components are now well-understood and technical papers describing them are being prepared for publication. Significant effort has been devoted to understanding well known reactions in the data and checking agreement with the simulation. Some preliminary physics results have been presented in theses based on 10% of the 1 GeV, 2015, unblinded data sample.

The main focus of the two and a half day meeting will be finalizing the bump hunt and vertex search analysis framework for the 1 GeV data before unblinding the full data set, and setting the stage for analyzing the 2.3 GeV data sample. Other items on the meeting agenda will include updates on the status of Hall B and CEBAF, plans for the 2018 data taking, and possible future upgrades to the HPS detector.

The meeting will provide an excellent introduction to HPS for any potential new collaborators, who are invited to attend.
