Poster Competition
We are happy to announce the Second SURA Poster Competition for Graduate Students. Abstracts must be received no later than Monday May 22, 2006 to qualify. The first, second, and third-place prizes will be $1000, $750, and $500 respectively. The poster session will occur on Monday evening, 12 June,at the Users Group Annual Meeting in conjunction with a reception.
Posters will be judged on:
1) The clarity with which the physics and its motivation are presented.
2) The clarity with which the student presents his or her contribution to the research.
3) The overall quality of presentation.
Please remember that a poster should be concise enough to be read in its entirety in less than ten minutes ! Poster's with excessive detail will be penalized. Student registration fees will be waived for those participating. Students that are delivering a talk are still eligible to submit a poster. Submissions should be sent electronically (ps. or pdf. format) to harris@jlab.org no later than May 22 and should be 300 words or less.
