Chief of Staff
As Chief of Staff, Sally Fisk manages the Director's Office. She and her staff assist lab leadership in addressing institutional priorities, including strategic planning, stakeholder relations, lab initiatives, major events and external reviews. Sally provides oversight of Public Affairs which encompasses internal and external communications, media relations, community partnerships and Jefferson Lab's website. She also oversees the Science Education programs for students and teachers, and Staff Services, which plans for and supports scientific conferences and workshops.
In addition to fulfilling her lab commitments, Fisk has worked in support of the National Fusion Program (ITER) and has facilitated strategic planning workshops for the Heavy Ion Fusion collaboration of Lawrence Berkeley National Lab, Lawrence Livermore National Lab, and Princeton Plasma Physics Lab.
Prior to joining Jefferson Lab, Fisk held management positions with the Department of Energy at the Chicago and San Francisco Operations Offices. Her responsibilities included assessment of strategic planning and institutional programs and projects at several national laboratories. She also served as the DOE project manager for the design and construction of solar cogeneration facilities.
Fisk holds a Master's degree in education and college administration from Indiana University.
