Speaker: Oscar Cata (Lawrence Berkeley National Laboratory) Title: Recent progress in the phenomenology of tensor currents in QCD Abstract: I will report on recent developments in the phenomenological aspects of spin-1 tensor currents in QCD. In particular, I will concentrate on 3 of the most prominent quantities that can be studied, namely the 1^{+-} b1(1234) meson, the magnetic susceptibility of the quark condensate, which is relevant in interactions of nucleons with external electromagnetic fields, and the couplings of the tensor current to 1^{--} vector mesons, currently under intense study by lattice groups in order to improve the determination of the CKM matrix element V_{ub} extracted from exclusive B decays.
