Members of the Thomas Jefferson Site Office

The Thomas Jefferson Site Office (TJSO) represents the U.S. Department of Energy in conducting business with the Jefferson Science Associates, LLC (JSA) and others at the Thomas Jefferson National Accelerator Facility.

TJSO is located at Jefferson Lab and its staff reports to the deputy director for Field Operations, Office of Science, with support from the DOE Oak Ridge Office in Oak Ridge, Tenn.

TJSO oversees operations of the lab, monitoring the performance of JSA and ensuring compliance with contractual obligations. Its oversight responsibilities include business systems, safety, security, infrastructure and project management. TJSO also monitors major construction projects and provides a regulatory role.

TJSO is one of 10 site offices within the Field Operations organization. The primary DOE research sponsor for Jefferson Lab is the Office of Nuclear Physics, Office of Science, located at DOE headquarters in Washington, D.C. The TJSO website is available by clicking here.
