E94-010 Polarized Helium 3 Target Meeting - 02/04/99

Present :

	J.P. Chen
	S. Incerti
	S. Jensen (phone)

Discussion :

	NMR only

- What has been done :

	* Parametrization of water signal amplitude dependence with T1
          and method to extract T1 from our water calibrations (by S. I.)
        * Started study of Helium signal amplitude dependence with RF field (S. I.)
        * Started pick-up coils monitoring through Q curve history (S. I.)
	* Started water calibration studies with new water signal shape (K. S.)
	* Decided to used published T2 value for now

- What needs to be done

	* Effect of T1<>T2 on water shape
	* Water calibrations
	* Temperature monitoring of water calibrations
	* Water signal vs target position

	* RTD monitoring during each run
	* RTD summary file for each NMR measurement
	   (* YOUR HELP IS WELCOME *)

	* Rotation loss
	* AFP loss
	* Cover effect on NMR signal
	* Polarization loss in beam (depending on current, temp.,...)

	* Polarized target history vs time and vs current

	* Model of the water/helium target for absolute calibration
	  and systematic studies
	* Temperature model of the target
	* Polarization and temperature gradients
