Lessons Learned Committee
The sharing of Jefferson Lab and external organization's operational experiences and information promotes safety and improves performance. Analysis of events, including event trending of "lessons learned" and sharing of this information, results in the continuous improvement of planning, work processes and activities. Such analysis also enables refinement of Jefferson Lab ES&H Manual guidance.
The goal of this Lessons Learned Committee is to share and use experienced-based information to promote the recurrence of desired activities and to prevent the recurrence of undesired activities.
This committee reviews the collection and distribution steps by which experiences of both Jefferson Lab and external organizations are disseminated for efficiency and applicability, and how this information is then provided to management and workers to improve work planning that results in operational improvement and the elimination of injuries and incidents.
This committee uses applicable guidance in DOE Order O 210.2, Corporate Operating Experience.
