Frontiers and Careers in Nuclear and Hadronic Physics

DESCRIPTION
The 2022 Frontiers and Careers workshop provides a venue for Ph.D. students and postdoctoral researchers in the field of nuclear and hadronic physics to discuss research, explore career prospects, and make professional connections, all in a friendly environment. Participants will be provided the opportunity to present their work, develop soft skills, network with peers, and interact with a panel of experienced faculty members and physicists, all with the express purpose of preparing themselves for their future careers.

PRELIMINARY AGENDA
The detailed agenda will be available on the website soon. The preliminary agenda consists of student and postdoc presentations (strongly encouraged), talks on career opportunities in Europe and the US, CV and grant application preparation, career panel discussion with leading physicists and esteemed faculty members.

LOCATION
The workshop will take place at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology, Boston, Cambridge, MA. Accommodation will be at the Boston University dorm rooms.

KEY DATES
Registration for the workshop is open and available at https://indico.jlab.org/event/529/ until July 10th, 2022. Participants should register as soon as possible due to limited slots. Participants can arrive to the venue on the evening of August 4th, 2022. Accommodation will be provided for August 4th-7th, 2022. The workshop will begin at 10:00 am on August 5th, 2022 and will continue until the evening of August 6th, 2022. Checkout will be at 11:00 am on Sunday August 7th, 2022.

The workshop precedes the Gordon Research Conference (GRC). Attendance to the GRC is highly recommended.
