Newport News Police Training

On Monday, Jan. 13, and Tuesday, Jan. 14, the Newport News Police Department (NNPD) will conduct active shooter training for recruits in the Applied Research Center. Signs will be placed inside the building indicating that the training will take place on the third and fifth floors. Participants will use plastic weapons that do not discharge projectiles. NNPD safety rules will be strictly followed.
