212.03 Reduction in Force
JSA reserves the right, at its discretion, to adjust its work force as it deems necessary, including but not limited to, reasons such as changing programmatic needs and goals, inadequate funding, lack of work, or organizational restructuring. Business reasons, as determined by JSA, shall be used in implementing any layoff actions that result.
In the event a reduction in force is necessary, the implementation will be consistent with the business reasons that necessitate it. The implementation will also be consistent with Laboratory policy and applicable state and federal laws on issues such as severance pay and unemployment insurance benefits.
