There are smoke detectors in the lobby, the Project Management room (195), the telecommunications room (56), the print room (61), and most passageways. There are fire alarm pull stations in every trailer and a master alarm panel in the lobby. The alarm system is connected to the Support Service Center alarm system. The nearest fire hydrant is about 300 feet to the north on Hofstadter Road.

    Loss Potential:
Loss of this building would have serious impact on design and engineering drawing capability and create a serious shortage of office space. Microfiche backup copies of engineering drawings are kept in a safe in CEBAF center.
