    Users Group Meetings

Users Groups who wish to hold meetings during the Annual Conference should contact Marty Hightower, DNP00 Local Organizing Committee, at Jefferson Lab immediately. Inquiries should be directed to e-mail dnp00@jlab.org or phone (757) 269-6368. It is essential that users group liaisons work through the LOC to arrange all meetings held in conjunction with the Fall Meeting. The LOC will assist with scheduling, catering prices, menus, room set-ups, etc., and will serve as liaison with the hotel. Meeting rooms are available at the Radisson Fort Magruder and will be assigned on a first-come basis.

    Town Meeting

As part of its continuing effort to provide timely information to the DNP membership and to provide an open forum for public comment on issues affecting the entire field, the Division will hold a "town meeting"-style business meeting on Friday afternoon. It is anticipated that a report on NSAC activities, including a discussion of the Long-Range Plan, and updates from the funding agencies DOE and NSF will be presented. The floor will open for discussion on current issues of concern to the field, such as future directions, support, education and training of physicists, public relations, and interfaces with other fields.
