First Announcement

The NuSS'97 (Nuclear Summer School in 1997) workshop will be held at the Convention Center in Seoul National University, Seoul, Korea from June 23(Monday) to June 28(Saturday) in 1997. This workshop is also the Tenth Anniversary Symposium on Theoretical Nuclear Physics in the series started at Sorak mountain, Korea in 1988. The aim of this summer school series is to bring the experts in the fields together with the graduate students and post-docs so that they can review recent progresses, exchange ideas and search future directions in nuclear physics research. The NuSS'97 is planned to focus on the most updated research review on the topics of QCD, Lightcone Quantization and hadron phenomenology. Currently, the world-renowned experts in the fields are invited to give a series of lectures on their recent research topics.

Lecturers and Topics include:

Also, we plan to solicit a number of short presentations of current research in the above topics or other broad topics of nuclear and particle physics. If you are planning to give a contributed talk at NuSS'97, please contact one of the two organizing co-chairs. All the orally presented talks will be published in the Proceedings of the workshop.

Some funds to support the graduate students and post-docs partially for their local expenses during the workshop are available. In order to apply for the partial support from the workshop, submit an application letter by email or by regular mail to one of the two organizing co-chairs.

We are looking forward for a stimulating and fruitful meeting.
