At around 12:20 on Tuesday, April 24 an Experimental Nuclear Physics graduate student suffered a right ankle fracture when circumventing and traversing over a vehicle barrier bar extension near the guard station when trying to exit the Accelerator Site. The pedestrian turnstile was not usable as it had not completed the full motion needed to reset for entry when the badge was swiped. The graduate student attempted to maneuver over the vehicle barrier and lost footing which lead to the injury. The event investigation team is currently conducting a causal analysis of this event.
When completed the event investigation report will be posted at http://www.jlab.org/div_dept/dir_off/oa/notable/index.html
