The ES&H Manual Chapter 6122 (Welding, Brazing, Cutting and Grinding Safety) and associated Appendix T6 (Welding and Brazing Program) have been substantially revised to be compliant with the requirements of 10CFR851. All work performed at Jefferson Lab or in the production of apparatus, as described in these documents, must comply with these new directives. Visual Examiners who certify welding and brazing for pressure systems and structural work must receive training and be authorized in order to comply with the requirements.
The following link to Manual Chapter 6122 Appendix T-6, (see Paragraph 188.8.131.52) addresses the training and certification requirements for Visual Examiners: https://jlabdoc.jlab.org/docushare/dsweb/Get/Document-16576/6122-T6%20wedits.doc.
