United Way Day of Caring: Sign Up Deadline Aug. 24 for Sept. 11 Volunteer Day
LINK of Hampton Roads has requested 10-12 volunteers for Friday, Sept. 11, from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. – the United Way Day of Caring. Volunteers will be picking up, sorting, and recording donations of clothing, furniture and household items. Items will be delivered to clients, others to sister agencies for distribution, and the rest will be stored in the warehouse for future distribution. Volunteers need to have some basic computer skills, organizational skills and willing hands. A strong arm wouldn't hurt either! Handicapped restrooms are not available at this project. If you are interested in volunteering, please fill out the attached form and send it to Joshua Cameron, in CEBAF Center, MS 12B, with your supervisor's approval by Monday, Aug. 24.
The attached form has a space for your supervisor's signature. Please remember that Human Resources must have your supervisor's approval in order for you to participate.
