Jefferson Lab's annual property custodian validation process will run from March 23 to April 6. During this period, each custodian must "validate" all of the items on his or her inventory list and take the Property Custodian Refresher GEN 150 training (about 5 minutes).
A property custodian may have one item or more than 100. For instance, if you have a JLab computer, you are a property custodian.
New this year each custodian will be asked to state the general condition of their assigned property ? "good," "fair" or "poor." Specific guidance for determining condition will be provided on the validation web page.
The validation link can be found on the Jefferson Lab Insight page. Look for the Property Validation link in your Personal Information block on the left side of the Insight Front Page.
Note: Property Policy Manual Section 3.16 states: If property cannot be located during the validation, custodians must report the missing property (including borrowed, user owned and property in the possession of subcontractors) to the Jefferson Lab Property Officer by email (firstname.lastname@example.org). Immediately following initial notification, the custodian must initiate a Jefferson Lab Missing Item Report available on the Property Management webpage and route it through their Division Management.

Upcoming JLab Key Validation
Please take stock of your Jefferson Lab keys. In two to four weeks Facilities Management will require all key holders to validate their assigned keys. The validation webpage is being developed and will provide a list of your assigned keys with check boxes for validation. The Jefferson Lab Lock Master is:
