CEBAF Center North Atrium Entrance & Deck Sidewalk to Close on Dec. 16

CEBAF Center North Atrium Entrance & Deck Sidewalk to Close on Dec. 16

Effective Wednesday, Dec. 16, York River Electric, the contractor installing the new optical fiber at Jefferson Lab, will begin excavating adjacent to the CEBAF Center north atrium entrance (double doors closest to Quark Cafe). The work will require closing the north atrium sidewalk and entrance as well as the brick-path sidewalk leading to the deck.

While the entrance is closed, pedestrians entering CEBAF Center from the north will be routed to the F Wing stairwell doors.

This entrance and the sidewalks will be closed until sometime in January.

The deck will be accessible only through the CEBAF Center atrium double doors facing the deck

See the linked diagram to see the construction area and the detour route to CEBAF Center.

Pedestrians are reminded to stay out of construction zones – areas marked with orange cones, construction fencing or colored tape.
