Chief Operating Officer Responsibilities

Colleagues,

With the beginning of the new Jefferson Science Associates, LLC contract with the Department of
Energy
on June 1, 2006, the Chief Operating Officer (COO) has responsibility for business functions that were
previously assigned to the Associate Director for Administration. This change was presented in the JSA
employee orientation that all Lab staff attended. Roy Whitney is no longer acting Associate Director
for the Administration Division.
