Jefferson Lab Announces Contest to Name C-100 Cryomodules
Posted: Oct. 16, 2012
It has been a tradition at Jefferson Lab to name the cryomodeules that make up the accelerator.
In keeping with that tradition, the lab is announcing a contest to name each of the 10 new C-100 cryomodules.
A panel of judges will select the winning names, and small prizes will be awarded to those whose entries are selected.
The names are typically one word (with a couple exceptions, but no phrases) and have a special meaning to the lab. A complete list of the names of the existing cryomodules is below.
In addition to submitting a name, please provide a brief statement explaining the significance of the name you propose.
Send all entries to:
All entries must be submitted by Wednesday, Oct. 31, 2012
Winners will be announced in early November.
