JLab Celebrates National Library Week with Events Beginning on April 15
Jefferson Lab's library staff invites the lab community to participate in Library Week events and activities. This is a great opportunity to learn more about the resources and capabilities provided through the library, according to Sandra D'Souza, assistant librarian. "Please see our events schedule below and on posters hung around the lab, and plan to celebrate with us. Visit the library during National Library Week and enter your name into a daily drawing to win a Starbucks gift card!"
Monday, April 15: 9 - 10 a.m. - National Library Week kicks off with library admin. and IT Division staff holding a reception in the library which is located on the first floor of the ARC building. Refreshments will be served.
Tuesday, April 16: Library Open House (first floor of the ARC) All members of the Jefferson Lab community are invited to stop by the library any time during normal business hours (8 a.m. - 5 p.m.). Refreshments will be served.
Wednesday, April 17: Information Resources Orientation Sessions - ARC Room 231. These sessions are open to all members of the JLab community.
9 a.m.: Records Management and Archives Development, Kim Kindrew, records manager
10:30 a.m.: Library Resources you don't want to miss! Sandra D'Souza
1 p.m.: Managing JLab Publications, Kim Kindrew
2:30 p.m.: A snapshot day in library services, Sandra D'Souza
Thursday, April 18: 9 a.m. - 12 p.m. - Tidewater Area Reference Librarian meeting at the library, followed by a tour.
