JLab HVAC Outage in CEBAF Center Wings A & C over Memorial Day Weekend

The rooftop HVAC units that service CEBAF Center Wings A and C will be replaced during Memorial Day weekend. The units will be turned off May 24 at 3:30 p.m. and will remain off until Tuesday, May 29 at 7 a.m.  There will also be no power in CEBAF Center Wings A, B or C on Saturday, starting at 6 a.m.

The HVAC units will be removed from the roof on Thursday, May 24 after 5 p.m. All personnel in wings A, B & C are asked to leave the building promptly at 5 p.m. on May 24, as nobody can be in the area when the lift occurs.

On Friday, May 25, there will be no HVAC service in CEBAF Center Wings A and C. Individuals who are located on these wings may work in their office on Friday, 8 a.m. until 5 p.m. Fans will be placed in the corridor to circulate air. Additionally, conference rooms L102, F226 and F324-325 have been reserved as an alternate work area on May 25. If you are concerned about conditions in your work area, discuss your work schedule/arrangements with your direct supervisor. HVAC service will be functional on Friday for CEBAF Center Wing B.

On Saturday, May 26, the second lift will occur. No personnel will be allowed to enter Wings A, B or C on May 26, as it is not known exactly when the lift will occur.

This outage does not affect the CEBAF Center F Wing. However, it would be best if all personnel would avoid coming to work at all over the Memorial Day weekend.
