JSA Employee Orientation
Under the new contract with the Department of Energy that becomes effective June 1, 2006, all SURA employees will become Jefferson Science Associates (JSA) employees. To complete the contract transition requirements, all SURA employees must complete new employment paperwork. Orientation sessions have been scheduled to facilitate this process. An email notification will be sent out by the Aspen Training System to notify you of your orientation session date and time. Employee orientation sessions will take place between May 1 and May 12 in CEBAF Center room F113. If you are unable to attend your scheduled session, makeup sessions will be scheduled on May 5, May 11 and 12. To accommodate shift workers, two early morning sessions (May 4 and May 10) and two evening sessions (May 4 and May 10) are also scheduled.
During this orientation session, you will learn about JSA and get answers to questions you might have regarding the transition. You will be required to fill out a new I-9 form, confirming your citizenship and official identification. You will need the following items to complete your orientation paperwork. Please have these documents with you during your designated orientation session.

Personal emergency contact phone numbers.
You will also be required to fill out JSA employment paperwork. Among these items will be an offer letter, Federal and State W-4 Forms, and a Personal Data Sheet. Please be prepared to fill out this information during the orientation session.
