July 21 Symposium in CEBAF Center to Honor Claus Rode
On Thursday, July 21, Jefferson Lab will hold a symposium titled: Project Highlights from 50 Years in the DOE Office of Science: A scientific symposium in honor of Claus Rode.
The symposium will highlight a selection of high-profile projects completed in the Department of Energy’s Office of Science over the past 50 years. The character and execution of scientific projects evolved significantly during this time. This period covers the distinguished career of Claus Rode, who was involved in all of the projects to be discussed, while working at several Office of Science laboratories.
Presentations will be given by:
Roger Dixon: Projects on the Prairie
Tony Chargin: Startups in the Office of Science can happen: CEBAF an exciting example
Richard York: CEBAF Beams and MSU Cryo
Norbert Holtkamp: ORNL Spallation Neutron Source
Allison Lung: CEBAF 12 GeV
Anticipated attendees include Jerry Draayer, Hermann Grunder, Christoph Leemann, Dan Lehman, Ed Temple, and others.
The symposium will take place 3-5:30 p.m. in the CEBAF Center auditorium and be followed by a reception in the lobby.
