Lab Community Mourns Death of Retired Engineering Division Technician, Wesley “Woody” Woodworth; Memorial Service set for Aug. 8
Wesley L. "Woody" Woodworth, 78, a retired Jefferson Lab Engineering Division Radiofrequency (RF) technician, passed away on July 4. Upon his retirement in 2013 he had worked at the lab for 17 years.
He was also retired from the U.S. Navy, where he had previously served for 20 years. He is survived by his wife, Dolly L. Woodworth; four daughters, Keri Woodworth, Cindy Weast, Jennifer Woodworth-Smith, and Brandy Lytle; sons-in-law, Stuart Sheck, Leon Weast, Keven Smith, and Curt Lytle; eight grandchildren; and his sister, Alice Collins.
A memorial service will be held on Saturday, August 8, 2015, from 11 a.m. - 1 p.m. at the Brittingham-Midtown Community Center located at 570 McLawhorne Drive, Newport News, VA 23601.
